49-year-old Milena Bogojevska from West Footscray has been charged with the murder of 85-year-old neighbor Lolene Joy Whitehand, whose body was found in Maribyrnong River. Bogojevska appeared in Melbourne Magistrates' Court, where prosecutors were granted 12 weeks to compile evidence, including CCTV footage and forensic material. The victim was remembered by neighbors as a kind and friendly person.
