33-year-old Marquis Owens, of Fairfield, faces a murder charge after allegedly assaulting Willie Caldwell at a Springdale motel. Owens was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center and held overnight without bond. The assault took place on April 11 at the Super 8 motel, with Caldwell dying from his injuries on June 22, two months later. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office ruled Caldwell's death as a homicide.
