31-year-old Kyle Larson won his first Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, overcoming an early unscheduled pit stop and charging from 12th place into the lead over the final 32 laps. This victory marked his third of NASCAR's four crown jewel races, with only the Daytona 500 remaining. Larson's triumph also put him atop the Cup standings ahead of Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott.
