Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced a $85,000 settlement with Kerry Inc., a liquid smoke manufacturing company in Manitowoc. Kerry Inc. allegedly violated Wisconsin's air pollution laws by failing to adhere to opacity, carbon monoxide testing, and air pollution control equipment requirements, and not reporting violations to the Department of Natural Resources in a timely manner. The investigation was initiated through public tips, and the public can report similar tips anonymously to the DNR Tip Hotline.
