The University of Waterloo's land in the north end of Waterloo will be the site for a new regional hospital, announced by local officials and Premier Doug Ford. The property was chosen after a 10-month review process and the new state-of-the-art facility aims to enhance local healthcare accessibility with more hospital beds, capacity, and services. The hospital will be a joint project between St. Mary's General Hospital and Grand River Hospital.
