15th Azerbaijan Theater Workers Union conference elects People's Artist Haji Ismayilov as Chairman.
People's Artist Haji Ismayilov has been elected as the new Chairman of the Azerbaijan Theater Workers Union, announced at their 15th conference. Ismayilov, an esteemed Azerbaijani actor, has a long career in theatre and film, including a breakthrough role in the film "Birthday" in 1980. The Union of Theater Workers was founded in 1897, originally named the Union of Artists, and unites around 300 Azerbaijani artists.
