Supreme Court specifies exceptional circumstances for staying bail orders.

The Supreme Court has stated that courts should only stay bail orders in exceptional circumstances. A bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Augustine George Masih made this declaration while overturning a Delhi High Court order that stayed the bail of an accused in a money laundering case. The court emphasized that, while courts may have the power to grant stays on bail, this should only be done in exceptional cases.
