South Australian & federal governments invest $200m each to build a tram overpass at Morphett Rd, eliminating the tram level crossing. The project aims to improve safety, ease traffic congestion & reduce delays for 25,600 daily motorists. Construction starts late 2024, with level crossings removed by end-2025. During temporary closure, tram services will be replaced by buses between Glenelg & South Terrace.
