West Kelowna's Shannon Lake Road construction begins on 24th July, closing the Asquith Road/Asquith Court intersection until late September. A roundabout is being built as part of the Shannon Lake Road Active Transportation Corridor Project. During the closure, vehicles will need to detour via Shannon Way to Woodstock Drive to Shannon Place and Shannon Ridge Drive. A 30 km/h speed limit will be in effect, and pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained.
