13 semi-finalists announced for the $12M Agricultural Methane Reduction Challenge, aiming to reduce enteric methane emissions from cattle.

Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Lawrence MacAulay, announced 13 semi-finalists for the $12M Agricultural Methane Reduction Challenge. The Challenge aims to reduce enteric methane emissions from cattle through economically viable and scalable practices, processes, and technologies in cow-calf, dairy, and feedlot sectors. The first stage attracted 86 applications from Canada and internationally, and the 13 semi-finalists will receive up to $153,846 each to develop and deploy their solutions.
