Ryanair and Aer Lingus receive High Court permission to challenge IAA's decision limiting winter passenger numbers at Dublin Airport.
Ryanair and Aer Lingus have received High Court permission to challenge the Irish Aviation Authority's (IAA) decision to limit passenger numbers at Dublin Airport during the coming winter season. Both airlines argue the decision is legally flawed and have filed separate High Court actions against the IAA, while the airport's operator, daa, has also initiated a separate action. The airlines claim the cap could result in the loss of 5,600 slots or 1.1 million passengers, which could cost them up to €89 million.
