New Zealand's Coalition Government accelerates Northland Expressway construction using a public-private partnership model, aiming for a 10-year faster completion.

New Zealand's Coalition Government is accelerating the construction of the Northland Expressway between Auckland and Whangarei, as part of its Roads of National Significance programme. The government has agreed to an accelerated delivery strategy that includes a progressive public-private partnership model, aiming to complete the project up to 10 years faster than traditional methods. The project is expected to increase New Zealand's annual GDP by NZ$497m, providing a modern, reliable, and efficient link between Northland and Auckland.
