NASA has awarded a $112.7M contract to SpaceX to provide launch services for the NOAA's JPSS-4 mission. The satellite is part of the multi-satellite Joint Polar Satellite System program, a partnership between NASA and NOAA. The mission, scheduled for a 2027 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, will collect data for continuous Earth environment observation.
