Myrtle Beach breaks ground on a $22 million performing arts center in the Arts and Innovation District, a project in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University. The historic Main Street buildings will be turned into a 300-seat venue, with the university using it 150 days a year for education and performances. The theater, expected to open summer 2026, aims to become an entertainment hub for the city.
