The Montana Red Cross opened an evacuation shelter in Missoula for those displaced by the ongoing Butler Creek wildfire. The shelter at Christ the King Catholic Church provides a safe place to stay, meals, information, emotional support, and access to other community resources. Residents in the Indreland and Buffalo Speedway Zone and West Butler Lavelle Creek Zone areas have been asked to evacuate immediately, while an evacuation warning is in place for the East Butler Creek Zone.
