4.9 magnitude earthquake strikes near Snyder, Texas, followed by a 4.4 magnitude tremor. The quakes were detected 17 km northeast of Hermleigh at 10:38 p.m. on July 22. No reports of damage or injuries have been received. Both quakes were confirmed by the United States Geological Survey. The tremors were felt across North Texas, Southern Oklahoma, and New Mexico, even reaching as far as Austin.
