The Los Angeles Dodgers have designated veteran left-handed pitcher James Paxton for assignment, as they prepare for the returns of injured starters Clayton Kershaw and Tyler Glasnow. Paxton had a 4.43 ERA in 18 starts and 89.1 innings with the team this season. The Dodgers are also incorporating top pitching prospect River Ryan, who is set to start on Monday against the San Francisco Giants.
