Indian Navy's frontline warship INS Brahmaputra, undergoing maintenance at the Mumbai naval dockyard, caught fire on 21 July, severely damaging the vessel and causing it to list heavily. One junior sailor remains missing after the fire broke out. The fire was brought under control, but despite efforts, the ship could not be brought to an upright position. The incident is under investigation by the Indian Navy.
