Iran's IRGC seizes Togo-flagged vessel carrying 1.5 million liters of smuggled diesel fuel off Bushehr's coast.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has seized a Togo-flagged vessel carrying 1.5 million liters of smuggled diesel fuel in the country's southern waters. The ship, with 12 foreign crew members, was intercepted off the coast of Bushehr's southern province following a judicial order. The fuel, intended for the UAE's Sharjah, will be unloaded at the terminals of a petroleum products company in Bushehr. This raid marks another instance of Iran's efforts to counter fuel smuggling amidst its cheap fuel prices and devalued currency.
