IHIT investigates woman's death in Maple Ridge; found bleeding in public, died at scene on Sunday.

B.C. 's homicide squad is investigating a woman's death in Maple Ridge after she was found bleeding in public on Sunday. Police have not released further details about the woman but say there is no threat to public safety. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is now leading the investigation. The woman was found near 232 Street and 132 Avenue at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and was treated by paramedics and firefighters, but died at the scene.
