Cyprus recovers 60 looted artifacts from Germany, concluding the Aydin Dikmen case.

Cyprus has concluded a 27-year campaign to recover thousands of stolen ecclesiastical objects and antiquities, after 60 items were repatriated from Germany. The artefacts, dating back thousands of years, were looted by Turkish art dealer Aydin Dikmen from the ethnically divided island nation following its split in 1974. The return of these items marks the final stage of the Aydin Dikmen case, involving the smuggling of antiquities.
