Max Air flight NGL1649 carrying 119 passengers and six crew members experienced a major incident during takeoff from Yola Airport en route to Abuja. The Boeing 737's four tyres burst during the takeoff roll and subsequent taxiing off the runway, with no injuries reported. The aircraft was cleared for takeoff when the initial two rear gear tyres burst, followed by the remaining two as it attempted to taxi off the runway.
