An Attleboro woman in her 40s suffered severe burns in a house fire at 563 Mendon Road on Sunday morning. Two police officers who first responded to the scene also suffered smoke inhalation, as did an adult male resident. The fire was contained to one side of the duplex, and the residents on the other side were temporarily displaced but allowed to return later. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
