Radio host Oliver Callan took a break from his show for skin cancer surgery.

Broadcaster Oliver Callan has revealed he took time off from his radio show due to surgery for skin cancer. Callan, who hosts RTÉ One's morning radio show, was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, a non-melanoma skin cancer. The comedian thanked presenter Maura Derrane for covering his show while he was away, and explained that his surgery required removal of the cancer, located on his face.
