Philippines seeks reciprocal troops access agreements with Canada, France, and New Zealand, aiming for increased interoperability between their armed forces. Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro hopes to sign these agreements next year, in response to China's assertive stance in the South China Sea. The agreements would enable military forces from these nations to operate within Philippine territory and vice versa.
