In June 2024, New Zealand recorded a goods trade surplus of $669m (NZ$940m), aided by a decline in imports and increased exports of infant formula, kiwifruit, and petroleum products. Goods exports dropped by $7.4m (0.1%) to $6.2bn, while goods imports decreased to $5.5bn, a 13% drop from June 2022. Year-on-year, milk powder, butter, and cheese exports dropped by $172m (10%) to $1.5bn.
