NDLEA in Nigeria seizes cocaine and synthetic cannabis 'loud' in various items at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, with a businessman arrested in a related case.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria has seized consignments of cocaine and 'loud', a synthetic strain of cannabis, hidden in incense candles, game packs, dry hibiscus leaves, and ladies' native wears at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA). A businessman, Abdulwahab Owolabi Alebiosu, was arrested at his Horizon Court residence after a consignment of 40 parcels of 'loud' weighing 20.30kg hidden in packs of chessboards, scrabbles, checkers, and poker set was intercepted. This comes as drug syndicates attempt to smuggle illicit substances in and out of Nigeria through the airport and courier firms in Lagos.
