Michael Stutchbury, AFR editor-in-chief for 13 years, retires; James Chessell, Walkley Award-winner, to replace him on August 12.

Michael Stutchbury, editor-in-chief of The Australian Financial Review (AFR) for 13 years, is retiring and will be replaced by Walkley Award-winner James Chessell. Stutchbury praised the AFR's deep integration into the business community and its success in the digital subscription space. Chessell, former executive editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, will take over as editor-in-chief on August 12.
