Lafarge Canada's Bath plant is testing a pilot project with Ottawa-based tech startup, Hyperion, to turn greenhouse gas emissions from cement manufacturing into marketable minerals. Cement manufacturing accounts for 8% of global GHG emissions and the project aims to "turn dirty air into dollars" by capturing, converting, and transforming waste CO2 emissions into high-performance mineral commodities.
