Kyrgyzstan's President Zhaparov inaugurates 6.8MW Kok-Art hydroelectric power station with $7.8M investment.
Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov inaugurated the Kok-Art small hydroelectric power station in Suzak district. With $7.8M investment, half from the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the other half from a private investor, the 6.8MW plant will supply electricity to 10,000 residents. Zhaparov also announced plans for more hydropower plants to boost the country's total capacity to around 140MW.
