India has agreed to consider providing ₹1,500 crore in economic stimulus to Bhutan over the next 18 months, following discussions between Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Bhutan's Foreign Secretary Aum Pema Choden. The economic support will aid Bhutan's development plans, with a focus on sectors such as connectivity, infrastructure, cultural heritage, health, education, energy, and technology. The decision was made during the third India-Bhutan Development Cooperation Talks, part of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
