Health Minister Shane Reti replaces Health NZ board with Commissioner Lester Levy due to financial concerns and overspending. The board of Health New Zealand faces a $1.4bn deficit by the end of the financial year, and has been replaced with a Commissioner to address the oversight, overspend, and financial issues. Levy, the recently appointed Chair of Health NZ, will take over as Commissioner for 12 months.
