Former MLB broadcaster Thom Brennaman, who was fired in 2020 for using an anti-gay slur on-air, will return to broadcasting this fall as the lead announcer for The CW's college football coverage. Brennaman was suspended by FOX Sports and pulled off the air from Cincinnati Reds games following the incident. He has since apologized for his remarks and is set to join The CW's Pac-12 package, where he will call ACC football games.
