Federal High Court in Abuja denies Rivers State Assembly's request to halt Governor Fubara's expenditures.
A Federal High Court in Abuja declined to halt all expenditures by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara as requested by the Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers Assembly. The court ordered the plaintiffs to put all defendants in the suit on notice, and adjourned the case until August 7th for further hearing. The assembly had suspended spending until Fubara resubmitted his budget, but the governor didn't meet the seven-day ultimatum.
