EPA announces $4.3bn funding for 25 climate projects under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.
The EPA has announced $4.3bn in funding for 25 climate projects proposed by states, tribes, local governments and territories. These projects aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 971 million metric tons by 2050, and are funded by the 2022 climate law, officially known as the Inflation Reduction Act. The grants target six sectors: transportation, electric power, commercial and residential buildings, industry, agriculture, and waste and materials management.
