China and UAE celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations, aiming for $200bn bilateral trade by 2030.

China and UAE mark 40 years of diplomatic relations with a three-day event in Qingdao, featuring traditional Al-Razfa dance performances. The UAE is China's largest trading partner in the Arab region, with non-oil trade increasing nearly 800-fold since 1984. A joint statement sets a goal of a bilateral trade volume of $200 billion by 2030, expanding economic and cultural ties, including participation in China's Belt and Road Initiative.
