BSE Power, Utilities, and Metal indices rose, while Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex fell slightly. Top gainers in utilities included Antony Waste, Nava, NTPC, SJVN, and Inox Green Energy. In power stocks, NTPC, NHPC, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Power Grid Corporation, and Siemens were top gainers. The BSE Metal index increased with NMDC, National Aluminium, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Jindal Steel & Power, Coal India, and Hindalco Industries leading the gains.
