23% of Brits don't know the difference between physician associates (PAs) and doctors, according to a poll commissioned by Healthwatch England. The poll revealed that while 52% of respondents can differentiate between the roles, 23% admitted they didn't know the difference. Healthwatch England is calling for more clarity around the role of PAs, which the NHS plans to establish a workforce of 10,000 by 2036/37.
