Australia's Royal National Park in Heathcote receives the world's first EcoHealth Scorecard, integrating ecological and financial data for park management.

Australia's oldest national park, Royal National Park in Heathcote, has become the first in the world to receive an EcoHealth Scorecard, integrating ecological health data and financial data for national park decision-making. The scorecard covers the Royal National Park, Heathcote National Park, and Garawarra State Conservation Area, with 40 permanent monitoring sites capturing over one million images and 2,000 plant records. The area is a haven for threatened species, including the Krefft's glider and yellow-bellied sheath-tailed bat, and supports over half of all microbat species in NSW.
