Afghanistan's Ministry of Finance has increased customs duty on 11 imported goods, including potatoes, macaroni, chips, paint, and ceramics, to support local production. Duties on macaroni and ash will rise from 20% to 25%, while potato chips and paint will increase from 30% to 50% and 10% to 16% respectively. The finance ministry plans to establish national tariff codes to facilitate customs activities.
