In Karachi's Mauripur area, a woman and her 8-year-old daughter were shot during a robbery attempt while their car was broken down during a picnic. The assailants snatched a phone and purse before fleeing. This incident adds to Karachi's ongoing robbery issues with 82 deaths reported this year and 10,323 phones stolen from Jan-June, including 1,433 in June alone. DIG South Asad Raza has set up a committee to investigate and warned the Mauripur police station house officer of potential repercussions if the suspects are not apprehended within a week.
