19-year-old Australian sprinter Torrie Lewis helped her team set a new national 4x100m relay record at the London Diamond League meeting, clocking 42.48 seconds, improving their previous Oceania-best time of 42.83 seconds from May. The team finished fourth ahead of Paris Olympics, where Lewis will also compete in the 200m event. Australian athletes secured three gold medals in women's javelin, women's pole vault, and men's mile during the same event.
