World Rugby Player of the Year Ardie Savea has signed with Moana Pasifika for the next three seasons, to "give back" to his Samoan heritage. The All Blacks back-row forward will leave Wellington Hurricanes, ending a 12-year association. Savea's deal with Moana Pasifika keeps him eligible to represent New Zealand through the 2027 Rugby World Cup. His brother, Julian, also plays for Moana Pasifika.
