The US is reviewing its Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) plans, a future family of fighter jets and drones that could replace the F-22. Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall raised concerns over the $300m+ cost per unit, triple that of an F-35. Kendall will reevaluate the project's cost-effectiveness and alignment with current threats, including those posed by China.
