2 small earthquakes of 2.34 and 1.9 magnitudes occurred in Lake Tahoe, NV on Sat at 7:19 a.m. and 7:49 a.m., measured by the University of Nevada Seismology Lab. USGS reported slightly higher magnitudes at 2.8 and 2.5. Located in the Basin and Range Province, a seismically active region, the area's largest fault, parallel to the west shore of Lake Tahoe, may rupture with two other faults in the future.
