Quebec police seize 28 stolen vehicles and thousands in cash in a crackdown on a Montreal-based criminal gang exporting stolen vehicles.

Quebec provincial police have seized over 28 stolen vehicles and thousands of dollars as part of their ongoing fight against organized vehicle theft in the Montreal area. Targeting a criminal gang exporting stolen vehicles, authorities also found large amounts of Canadian and US currency, and several cellphones. This follows a 36% drop in stolen vehicles in Quebec's first six months of 2024 compared to the previous year, partly due to increased border patrol, police collaboration, and government action.
