New Parliamentary etiquette handbooks issued to Rajya Sabha members, prohibiting slogans and criticizing chair's rulings.
Ahead of the Parliament session starting on July 22, new handbooks on Parliamentary etiquette have been issued to Members of Rajya Sabha, reminding them not to raise slogans such as "Vande Mataram" and "Jai Hind", and not to criticize the chair's rulings either in or outside the House. The handbooks also advise against displaying exhibits on the floor of the House. The Lok Sabha is expected to receive a similar manual.
