A motorcyclist died after crashing into a tree in Scarborough on Saturday night. Toronto police received a call about the single-vehicle crash at 9:53 p.m. on Nugget Avenue and Markham Road, north of Sheppard Avenue East. The motorcyclist, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
