7-mile I-196 resurfacing project in Van Buren & Allegan counties starts July 22 ($3M).

Starting July 22, a $3 million resurfacing project on I-196 in Van Buren and Allegan counties will take place over seven miles between Saugatuck and South Haven. The project includes replacing concrete joints, resealing, and resurfacing the road. Intermittent lane closures are expected, but this is a resurfacing project, not a full reconstruction like the I-94 project in Berrien County.
