Met Police DC Mark Connor resigned due to impending dismissal for gross misconduct involving a personal relationship and explicit messages.
Met Police DC Mark Connor would have been dismissed for gross misconduct had he not resigned, according to a report by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) on July 18. Connor, 48, had a personal relationship with a woman he met during an investigation, sending sexually explicit messages from his work phone. IOPC regional director Charmaine Arbouin stated that Connor's actions are not fitting of a police officer.
